Amit Sadh has opened up about cancel culture to IndiaToday.in. "By participating in directionless debate, I personally feel we make our people shallow," he said.

Recently, a few Bollywood films, like Brahmastra, Laal Singh Chaddha and Raksha Bandha were subjected to boycott calls on social media. This also led to netizens talking about the cancel culture on Twitter. The latest celebrity who has reacted to this topic is Breathe: Into The Shadows actor Amit Sadh. In an exclusive interview with IndiaToday.in, the actor stated that by participating in 'directionless debate', we make our people shallow.

Speaking exclusively to IndiaToday.in, Amit Sadh opened up about the cancel culture as he said, "I make no distinction about my country. We are a diverse country, and we should celebrate it. We are rich in art, and we need to take inspiration. By participating in directionless debate, I personally feel we make our people shallow. Instead, use this time to create art together and empower our nation. I will definitely like to debate and put forth my opinion when a topic has depth and substance."

The actor was further asked about his thoughts on South films doing well compared to Hindi movies and the North vs South debate. To which, Amit added, "The audience is savvy. They know where they want to invest their time and enjoy the entertainment. We need to cue such behavior and ensure artists, directors, producers, and actors need to take inspiration from them and see how better they can bring forward more entertaining, engaging, and immersive art. Also, technology has enabled access to such content in the comfort of your home. It's always a good feeling for the entertainment industry that diversity is celebrated and noticed."

On the work front, Amit's short film, Ghuspaith - Beyond Borders, is all set to have a global festival run.
