Akshay Kumar says wearing his eye lens in Bachchhan Paandey was extremely difficult

Akshay Kumar's Bachchhan Paandey opened to good reviews in the theaters on March 18. In a recent media interaction, the actor revealed that wearing lenses for his character in the film was very difficult.

Akshay Kumar's Bachchhan Paandey hit the screens on Holi, March 18, much to his fans' delight. It managed to clock in Rs 13 crore in just one day of its release. People flocked to the theatres to watch their favourite star on screen as a deadly gangster. With plenty of action scenes and the right dose of humour, Bachchhan Paandey has got positive reviews. Also starring Jacqueline Fernandez and Kriti Sanon, Bachchhan Paandey is an action comedy film directed by Farhad Samji.

Ahead of the film’s release, Akshay Kumar sat down for a media interaction in Delhi where he talked about his role and what went behind its preparation. The actor said that wearing the eye lens for his character was ‘extremely difficult’.

When asked about what was the most difficult part of shooting for Bachchhan Paandey, Akshay Kumar said, “Wearing the lens and then removing it was extremely difficult. Jaan nikal jaati thi because I could not fix it in my eye myself. It was a very big lens. I would see everything blurry and that’s how I used to shoot. I would just see that there is a figure in front of me.”

So, how long did it take to prepare for his look? The actor replied, “The first day it took about 15 minutes, but later it used to take me hardly 2-3 minutes. We decided on my look by doing a lot of photoshoots for three days and that’s when we zeroed in on this one.”

Bachchhan Paandey is the remake of the 2014 Tamil film Veeram. The film stars Akshay Kumar in the role of a gangster, while Kriti Sanon plays an aspiring director.
