A mob forcibly stopped the screening of Akshay Kumar-starrer Bachchhan Paandey is Sambalpur in Odisha. The goons wanted the theatre cleared for The Kashmir Files.

Akshay Kumar's Bachchhan Paandey, which was touted to be a blockbuster hit, is now struggling to reach Rs 100 crore mark. The film's collection was affected due to the rising popularity of Vivek Agnihotri’s The Kashmir Files. Recently, a mob forcibly stopped the screening of Bachchan Paandey in Sambalpur in Odisha. They wanted the theatre cleared for the screening for The Kashmir Files.

According to reports, there is not just one incident but many theatre owners are facing this problem. An exhibitor spoke to Bollywood Hungama and said that mobs were creating ruckus on the premises and fighting with the staff, claiming that a scene was missing from the film. The exhibitor added, “How can any theatre manager cut any scene from any film?"

Here's the video:

Akshay Kumar took to Twitter to laud Anupam Kher's performance and the film. He reposted one of Anupam Kher’s latest tweets which had a behind-the-scenes (BTS) photo of the latter. Akshay’s tweet could be read, “Hearing absolutely incredible things about your performance in #TheKashmirFiles @AnupamPKher Amazing to see the audience back to the cinemas in large numbers. Hope to watch the film soon. Jai Ambe (sic).”
