Akshay Kumar-Jr NTR to Aamir Khan-Yash, THESE superstars will lock horns at box office

This year, many superstars' films are going to clash at the box office. This includes Akshay Kumar's Bachchan Pandey and Jr NTR and Ram Charan's RRRR, and Aamir Khan's Laal Sing Chaddha and Yash's KGF Chapter 2.

Many mega-starrer films like RRR, Bacchan Pandey, KFG Chapter 2, and Laal Singh Chaddha will be clashing at the box office this year. These clashes might affect these films' income. A film when released generates income from several revenue streams, including theatrical exhibitions, satellite, and the more recent OTT. However, theatrical box office earnings is primary in assessing the success of a film. But a clash of two big films can somewhat affect the film's earnings. Moreover, in the given scenario when the theaters are operating at 50 per cent occupancy, it is difficult to break even for many big-budget films. And hence, releasing two or three big-budget films on the same day is not a great idea. But it looks like these superstars aren't afraid of box office clashes anymore.

On Friday, January 22, Aamir Khan's production house announced that they will stick to their release date, which is 14 April, for Laal Singh Chaddha. Interestingly, it is the same date as the much-anticipated film KGF: Chapter 2, starring South superstar Yash, is releasing. Well, Aamir is not the only one who will have a clash with an actor from the South, Akshay Kumar's Bachchan Pandey will too be locking horns with RRR at the box office.

Here's a list of films that will be fighting against each other at the box office.

Bachchan Pandey vs RRR vs Shamshera

The makers of Akshay Kumar-starrer Bachchan Pandey recently announced the release date of the film, which is slated to hit theatres on March 18. At the same time, the team of RRR too announced that if the pandemic situation in the country gets better and if theaters open to full capacity, they are ready to release their film on March 18. The much-anticipated film, starring Jr NTR, Ram Charan and Alia Bhatt, was earlier scheduled to release on January 7 but due to the spike in covid cases, the film had to be postponed. Interestingly, even the makers of Ranbir Kapoor and Sanjay Dutt-starrer Shamshera have set their minds on releasing their much-awaited film on March 18. We will just have to wait and see which one of these three films pushes their release date or stick their grounds.

Laal Singh Chaddha vs KGF 2

Yash-starrer KGF 2 has already announced its release date, April 14, while Aamir Khan has just announced that his Laal Singh Chaddha will also be arriving on the same date. This is will be a big clash as both the films are the most-anticipated films of 2022. It is also reported that Thalapathy Vijay's Beast is also eyeing releasing their film on April 14. If that happens, then this will indeed be a big three-way box-office clash.
