Ahead of planned protest, Telangana BJP chief detained by police for violating Covid norms

Telangana BJP chief Bandi Sanjay Kumar was taken into police custody in Karimnagar on Sunday night for allegedly having violated Covid norms. He had planned a protest at his office from 9 pm on Sunday to 5 am on Monday.

He had planned a ‘jagarana’ at his office from 9 pm on Sunday to 5 am on Monday to protest against a state government order regarding introduction of a zonal system in the allocation of jobs. According to Kumar, the government order hurts the interests of government employees in relation to their transfers.
