India Today’s journalist spotted many farmers outside the government sugar mill in Baghpat area. They were waiting to sell their produce in the scorching heat with no shelter or access to clean water. The farmers there alleged that the sugar mill works very slowly and they are never paid on time despite the government’s tall claims.
