A man eloped with his minor sister-in-law after his wife refused to go back home with him. The incident was reported from a village in Bihar’s Chhapra district.
The man, Krishna Ram, had gone to his in-laws’ house to bring back his wife, Sankanti Devi, but she refused. After that, the man allegedly manipulated his minor sister-in-law with false promises and eloped with her.
The minor’s father immediately lodged a complaint against Ram for kidnapping his daughter. However, when the matter reached the women’s helpline, it was found that the minor had already made allegations of child marriage against her own family.

Meanwhile, police successfully tracked the man and it was revealed that Ram had taken the minor to the women’s helpline and made her file a false complaint against her family.
Later, Ram was arrested for kidnapping the minor. However, the minor still maintains that she was running away with Ram to escape her parents who were trying to marry her off forcibly.
Ram was married to Devi for 12 years and they had four children together. Troubled by her husband, Devi had gone back to her parents’ home. Police said that the matter is complicated and an investigation is underway.
