In a recent media interaction in Delhi, Akshay Kumar opened up on the roles he would like to play in future and also called himself a workaholic. The actor expressed his wish to play a psycho.

Akshay Kumar is currently winning hearts with his performance in Bachchhan Paandey. The film, that released on Holi, March 18, is doing well at the box office. Also starring Jacqueline Fernandez and Kriti Sanon, Bachchhan Paandey is an action comedy film directed by Farhad Samji. Ahead of its release, Akshay sat down for a media interaction in Delhi where he expressed his wish to play the character of a psycho next. The actor also called himself a workaholic.

When asked if he would like to play more roles of a villain, Akshay said, “I like to play anything and everything. It’s been 30 years for me in this industry and there are so many characters that are still pending for me to do. I am dying to play those characters. I have a kind of hunger in me for my work. I am a greedy kind of workaholic. I want to play a psycho. I also love to play comedy roles.”

So, are anti-heroes and characters with gray shade the flavor of the season? Akshay answered, “It was a new thing for me. After a long time I was playing a character like this in Bachchhan Paandey and I was enjoying it. The best part of the character is that he is very scary. But eventually, you’ll fall in love with him. From being a scary man, you’ll start finding him cute. You start forgetting what he has done that is the power of the story. This film is a complete family entertainer.”

Bachchhan Paandey is the remake of the 2014 Tamil film Veeram. The film stars Akshay Kumar in the role of a gangster, while Kriti Sanon plays an aspiring director.
