Adnan Sami has revealed why he 'archived' his Instagram posts. In an exclusive interview with IndiaToday.in, the singer also spoke about his new song, Alvida.
Last month, singer Adnan Sami took everyone by surprise when he removed all his Instagram posts. After doing the same, Sami posted a teaser which had 'Alvida' written all over it. All of a sudden, his post left his fans and netizens worried. Later, it was revealed by Adnan that his next song was called Alvida and that's when everyone breathed a sigh of relief. After the release of his new track Alvida, Adnan Sami exclusively told IndiaToday.in why he didn't delete but archived his Instagram posts.
In an exclusive interview with IndiaToday.in Adnan Sami revealed that he didn't expect the reaction that he received after he archived his Instagram posts. "Honestly speaking, no way!," he said.
The singer further mentioned why he decided to make that move. Shedding light on the same, Adnan Sami said, " Actually, what happened was I am right now in a very different frame of mind. During the pandemic, suddenly we all had time on our side. The world came to a halt. For the first time in decades, I was able to sit down and take a breather. And so I had this forced opportunity to take a break and reevaluate my life. Rethink my music, rethink my life, rethink myself spiritually, priorities, etc and even physically reinvent myself."
He added that one of his new resolutions was that he wanted to start releasing more music now. "It is a completely new approach to life in general. This (Alvida) is the first song of the new phase of my life, which I decided to summarise as Adnan 2.0. I said to myself that now that I am embarking on a new phase and journey of my life, let me clean the slate and archive all my previous posts. I won't delete them because I love them all. I love my past and I am very proud of (it). I have archived it so that I start afresh," the singer added.
Speaking further about the same, Adnan stated, "Then, I said (to myself) because Alvida was going to be the first release of this new phase of my journey, I will post a teaser. And I will put the name Alvida and I assumed that people would understand that this would be a song of mine. I did that and I didn't give any other explanation to it. I just wrote Alvida and left it at that. I figured that people would figure out that it would be his new song, Alvida."
