Gold weighing 630.45 gm approximately, was hidden in a man’s wig and rectum. A video of the customs officials recovering the gold from underneath his wig has gone viral on social media.
A passenger from Abu Dhabi was booked at New Delhi's Indira Gandhi International (IGI) airport for attempting to smuggle gold worth Rs 30.55 lakh in his wig. The passenger was nabbed at Terminal 3 of the IGI airport, according to Customs Commissioner's Office.
Gold weighing 630.45 gm approximately, was hidden in the man’s wig and rectum. A video of the customs officials recovering the gold from underneath his wig has gone viral on social media.
The video shows how carefully the mound of gold was placed right on his scalp after shaving off his hair. The officials carefully pulled off the wig and recovered the gold.
The officials informed that the man has been arrested and a further probe is underway.
