ABC has pulled the upcoming season of "The Bachelorette" starring Taylor Frankie Paul amid an ongoing police investigation into the reality TV star and her ex-partner, Dakota Mortenson.
"In light of the newly released video just surfaced today, we have made the decision to not move forward with the new season of 'The Bachelorette'at this time, and our focus is on supporting the family," a Disney Entertainment Television spokesperson told USA TODAY Thursday, March 19.
The cancellation came after the Draper City Police Department in Northern Utah revealed an ongoing "domestic assault investigation" involving Paul and Mortensen, who have both reportedly leveled allegations, People reported.
Authorities contacted both parties on Feb. 24 and 25, the spokesperson told the outlet. The reality star was set to lead Season 22 of "The Bachelorette."
She recently told People in a March 17 statement that her "heart hurts to see it, to go through it, especially at this time."
