Aanand L Rai says An Action Hero will give another dimension to Ayushmann Khurrana's acting

Ayushmann Khurrana-starrer An Action Hero will mark the directorial debut of Anirudh Iyer, who has previously worked as an assistant director on Aanand L Rai's films. The cast and crew of the film will soon commence the shooting of his much-anticipated film in London. Backed by Bhushan Kumar's T-Series and filmmaker Aanand L Rai's Colour Yellow Productions, the film is a slick actioner with an offbeat satirical sense of humor. An Action Hero will be Ayushmann's second collaboration after Shubh Mangal Zyada Saavdhan with filmmaker Anand L Rai. During an exclusive chat with IndiaToday.in, the Tanu Weds Manu director, who is known for making out-of-the-box films, revealed that An Action Hero will be a gusty story.

An Action Hero will be Ayushmann Khurrana's first stint in the action genre. The film will feature an artist's journey, both in front and behind the camera. Speaking about the film, Aanand L Rai said, "We again have an intelligent actor called Ayushmann Khuranna (on board) who chooses his subjects and scripts brilliantly. His association with us has been a fantastic one. We did Subh Mangal Savdhan, and the way he chooses his characters is commendable."
