Aamir Khan opens up on his first heartbreak, says 'she doesn't know'

While promoting a Laal Singh Chaddha song, Aamir Khan revealed the story of his first heartbreak. The actor said that the girl doesn't know about it.

Aamir Khan fans are eagerly waiting for Laal Singh Chaddha's release. Months ahead of the film's release, the makers launched one of its songs, Phir Na Aisi Raat Ayegi. During a social media interaction to promote the song, Aamir Khan revealed the story of his first love. The actor said that it left him heartbroken and that the girl doesn't know about it. Aamir also revealed that he used to play tennis with her until she left the country.

Aamir Khan has romanced a lot in his acting career spanning over 30 years. On June 29, while launching the song Phir Na Aisi Raat Ayegi from his upcoming film Laal Singh Chaddha, the actor spoke about his first love and heartbreak. During a live interaction with his fans during the song launch, Aamir Khan shared that his first love was a close friend of his, who had no idea about his unrequited feelings.

“This was the time when I used to play tennis, she was also in the same club with me, and one fine day I found out that she left the country with her family. I was very heartbroken, and the tricky part is that she doesn't know. Bas ek hi cheez achi hui ki main bohot accha tennis player ban gaya (the only good thing to come out of this was that I became a very good tennis player). Later, after some years, I played tennis in state-level championships and became a state-level champion,” Aamir said.

Aamir Khan has been married twice. From 1986-2002, he was married to Reena Dutta. They have two children together Junaid Khan and Ira Khan. Aamir Khan and Reena Dutta's relationship started out in a very filmy way. Both were neighbours and often stared at each other for hours through their windows. Even after their divorce in 2002, Aamir and Reena share a great friendship. They work together on the Paani Foundation, of which she is the COO.

In 2005, Aamir married filmmaker Kiran Rao. They met on the sets of his 2001 film Lagaan, where Kiran worked as one of the assistant directors. Aamir Khan and Kiran Rao started dating soon after and also lived together for some time before getting married on December 28, 2005. The two are parents to their son, Azad Rao Khan. He who was born through surrogacy in 2011. Aamir Khan and Kiran Rao announced their divorce after 15 years of marriage on July 3, 2021.

Laal Singh Chaddha is the official Hindi remake of the Hollywood film Forrest Gump. Aamir has reunited with his 3 Idiots co-stars Kareena Kapoor Khan and Mona Singh for the film. Nagarjuna's son Naga Chaitanya will be making his Bollywood debut with this film. The original Hollywood film featured Tom Hanks. And IndiaToday.in had exclusively learnt earlier that Aamir is keen to show Laal Singh Chaddha to Tom. Shah Rukh Khan is reportedly playing a cameo in the film.
