
A. Pradeep Kumar appointed private secretary to Kerala CM Pinarayi Vijayan

Kerala CM Pinarayi Vijayan appoints A. Pradeep Kumar, CPI(M) member, as private secretary, succeeding K.K. Rakesh.
Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan has appointed A. Pradeep Kumar, a State committee member of the Communist Party of India (Marxist) [CPI(M)] and the party’s three-time legislator from the Kozhikode (North) constituency, as his private secretary.
Mr. Kumar fills the post left vacant by his predecessor, K.K. Ragesh, who the CPI(M) appointed as the party’s district secretary in Kannur. Mr. Kumar is an honorary fellow of the Indian Institute of Architects.
He served three terms as MLA from Kozhikode (North) constituency in the 12th, 13th and 14th Kerala Legislative Assembly.
A native of Chelakkad near Nadapuram in Vadakara taluk, Mr. Kumar entered politics as a Students’ Federation of India (SFI) activist in the early 1980s.
He served as chairman of Calicut University during the 1986-87 period.
