619 villages flooded in 18 UP districts; state govt sets up 1,102 relief shelters

As 619 villages got affected by floods in the state, the Uttar Pradesh government set up 1,102 relief shelters to mitigate the impact of the calamity.

619 villages have been affected by floods in 18 districts of Uttar Pradesh. The state government has built 1102 relief shelters to mitigate the hardships of the people living in the flood-hit areas. The Uttar Pradesh administration instructed the deployed teams of National Disaster Response Force (NDRF), State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) and the State Disaster Management Authority to work round the clock in an active mode to carry out relief operations.
