The COVID-19 caseload continued its upward trend in the district with 579 more people testing positive for SARS-CoV-2 on Tuesday. With 196 patients recovering from the illness, the number of active cases was 4,665. The pandemic has so far claimed 901 lives. Two more deaths – those of two men, aged 67 and 60 – were attributed to the disease on the day. The case fatality ratio stood at 0.8, much higher than in Kannur (0.54) and Alappuzha (0.5) that trailed Thiruvananthapuram.More Related News
