
5,601 incidents of ceasefire violations reported along LoC in last 2 years: Govt in Rajya Sabha

Minister of State for Defence Ajay Bhatt told Rajya Sabha that 5,601 incidents of ceasefire violations were reported along the LoC under operational control of the Indian Army in J&K from November 2019 to November 2021.
A total of 5,601 incidents of ceasefire violations (CFVs) by Pakistan were reported along the Line of Control (LoC) in Jammu and Kashmir in the last two years, the government said in Rajya Sabha on Monday.
It further added that Indian troops responded to them by inflicting "substantial damage" on Pakistani posts and personnel.

In 2025, the Mizoram CM said Ukraine war veterans were using the state to enter Myanmar. The arrest of 7 foreign nationals by the NIA has prompted experts to suggest that the incidents might be connected.
