SA vs UAE, T20 WORLD CUP 2026: HIGHLIGHTS | SCORECARD
South Africa made it four out of four in the T20 World Cup 2026 and got themselves ready for their Super 8 clash against India with a comfortable 6-wicket win over UAE in New Delhi on Wednesday, February 18. Dewald Brevis starred with the bat, scoring 36 off 25 balls while Corbin Bosch wrecked the UAE batting lineup with figures of three for 12 in his four overs in a game that did have not a lot of stakes riding on it.
The weather at the Arun Jaitley stadium was a bit gloomy, with some rain in the air. The Proteas won the toss and opted to field first and made four changes to their lineup ahead of the contest. But that hardly had any effect on the dominance shown by the Proteas with ball and bat. UAE pushed Afghanistan all the way at the same venue and actually had a fantastic start.
Muhammad Waseem and Aryansh Sharma got things rolling with some delightful shots, getting thirty runs in the first three overs. Often the UAE batting has revolved around three batters in the form of Waseem, Alishan Sharafu and Sohaib Khan.
So when their skipper fell, the Asian side started to slowly lose steam. Aryansh also fell quickly as the powerplay ended with 44 runs on the board with the loss of two wickets. Bosch got off the mark with the wicket of Aryansh and he would soon return to dismiss Sohaib as well. Sharafu was almost left as the lone warrior at this point, aiming to go hard whenever possible.

T20 World Cup: Zimbabwe missed out on qualifying for the tournament in 2024, but this time around, Sikandar Raza's men have secured their berth in the Super 8. It was Raza, with his inspirational leadership and attitude, aims to keep his side grounded and continue their journey towards bigger goals at the T20 World Cup 2026.
