30 passengers hurt as 2 buses collide head-on near Tamil Nadu’s Salem | Video

CCTV footage of a shocking accident from Salem in Tamil Nadu has gone viral. Two buses were involved in a head-on collision due to a miscalculation by the drivers. As many as 30 passengers were hurt in the accident and are being treated at various hospitals nearby.

Thirty people were injured after two buses were involved in an accident in Tamil Nadu’s Salem. The CCTV footage, recorded from inside the vehicle, of the two private buses colliding, has gone viral.

The accident occurred on Tuesday evening, May 17, when a private bus carrying 30 passengers travelling from Edappadi collided with another private bus, which was travelling from Thiruchengode.

There was reportedly a miscalculation about the space between the two buses by the drivers, which led to the collision. The CCTV visuals show how, in a fraction of a second, the bus driver was thrown out of his seat. The video also show how the front portion of the bus was completely damaged

Overall, 30 passengers were injured and are currently being treated at various hospitals.
