India Today
Prime Minister Narendra Modi knows more than anybody else that state elections cannot decide the general elections, poll strategist Prashant Kishor said in an exclusive interview with India Today.
Political strategist Prashant Kishor, in an exclusive conversation with India Today, reiterated his stance that state elections cannot decide the outcome of Lok Sabha polls.
"He [PM Modi] knows it more than anybody else that state elections cannot decide the general elections," Prashant Kishor said.
He added, "Even if we go by the UP example, you look at 2012 and what happened, SP swept UP and BJP was the number four party. What happened in 2014?

"The Prime Minister in his speech quoted what happened in 2017 and 2019. One can always quote 2002 onwards and UP has never voted in Lok Sabha in the same way as they vote in the Vidhan Sabha."
