2021 Skoda Octavia launched in India, prices start at Rs 25.99 lakh 

Skoda India has launched the new Skoda Octavia in India, adding to a smogasboard of SUVs lined up from the brand. The new Octavia might still use the new 2.0 litre TSI petrol but has a whole list of new tricks up its sleeve. 

Skoda India has launched the new 2021 Skoda Octavia in India with a starting price of Rs 25.99 lakh ex-showroom. The Octavia L&K on the other hand is likely to set you back by Rs 28.99 lakh. In this new iteration the Octavia gets some autonomous safety features and some new tech under the skin. Speaking at the launch, Mr Zac Hollis, Brand Director — SKODA AUTO India, said, "When it was introduced twenty years ago, the OCTAVIA changed the dynamics of the executive sedan segment - one that continues to offer significant growth potential, catering to a burgeoning class of discerning buyers with a penchant for luxury, as well as the right value proposition. Having retained its characteristics of design, safety, technology, performance, space, and comfort, the all — new OCTAVIA is a compelling combination and will continue to drive KODA AUTO's success in the Indian market.” At the heart of the fourth-generation Skoda Octavia is a 2.0-litre TSI (turbocharged stratified injection) petrol engine belting out 190bhp of maximum power and 320Nm of peak torque. The engine is mated to a 7-speed DSG automatic that sends power to the front two wheels. Skoda has now introduced shift-by-wire technology in the Octavia, which is a first for the executive sedan.
