India Today
To offset the increasing demand for the 2021 S-Class, Mercedes-Benz India will launch the locally assembled luxury sedan on October 7, 2021.
Mercedes-Benz India launched the new-generation of the S-Class in India this year, and since then, has received an overwhelming response, so much so that the global allotment for the Indian market was quickly sold out in record time. To offset the increasing demand for the 2021 Mercedes-Benz S-Class, the Indian arm of the German carmaker will launch the locally assembled S-Class in the country on October 7, 2021. Expect Mercedes-Benz India to price the India-made S-Class aggressively. The new Mercedes-Benz S-Class will be presented to the Indian market by Martin Schwenk and Piyush Arora through a physi-digital press conference.
Presently, the new Mercedes-Benz S-Class retails at Rs 2.17 crore for the 2021 S-Class S 450 4MATIC, and Rs 2.19 crore (both prices ex-showroom India) for the 2021 S-Class S 400d 4MATIC. With the local assembly, expect the prices for the 2021 Mercedes-Benz S-Class to drop considerably. The 7th generation Mercedes-Benz S-Class had garnered a remarkable response in India with over half of the 150 units of the CBU Launch Edition booked even before the luxury sedan debuted in June, 2021.
