Surat Police recovered anaesthesia injections from the site. The duo had searched ChatGPT for "how to commit suicide".
Residents in Gujarat’s Surat were left shocked after the bodies of two young women were discovered inside a washroom at a temple complex, with police saying anaesthesia injections were recovered from the site. Investigators also found that the pair had searched online for ways to die, including queries on ChatGPT about how suicide could be carried out.
The deceased were identified as 18-year-old Roshni Sharad Shirsath and 20-year-old Jyotsna Atul Chaudhary, childhood friends and college students.
Their bodies were found at the Atmiya Sanskar Dham Swaminarayan Temple in the Dindoli area.
According to police, both women had left their homes around 7 am on March 6, telling family members they were going to college, but they never returned.
Concerned relatives later traced their scooter parked near the temple and began searching the premises.
A washroom door inside the temple compound was found locked from the inside.

This moment comes days after the Supreme Court allowed Harish Rana to die with dignity – a historic first court-ordered case of passive euthanasia in India. The court acknowledged the medical opinion that Rana will never recover and that the tubes that feed him and keep him alive are only prolonging his pain.
