The 168th birth anniversary celebrations of Sringeri Sharada Peethadeeswar Shankaracharya Sri Sri Nrisimha Bharati Thirtha Mahaswamy will be held in Tirupati from Wednesday to Saturday (March 11—14, 2026). As part of this, Sri Sri Vidhushekhara Bharati Swamy of Sringeri Sharada Peetham will conduct ‘Vijaya Yatra’ from the same day here.
Announcing the event details to the media on Monday (March 9), Sri Sringeri Sharada Peetham Tirupati wing president G.L. Manohar and Sanskrit University Professor Kuppa Vishwanath Sharma said, ‘Dhooli Puja’ will be held at the mutt on Wednesday. Sri Sathakoti Rama Sastri Sastra Sabha will be held on Thursday (March 12). Sanskrit and Telugu competitions will be conducted for students on Friday (March 13).”
“Sri Vidyaranya Veda Sabha, Jayanti Sabha – Abhinava Shankara Karuna Vilasa programmes will be held on Saturday. On these days, Sharada Chandramoulishwara Puja will be held at 8.30 pm. On Thursday and Friday, Mahaswamy darshan, foot puja, and service programmes will be held at 11.30 am,” they said.

Civil Aviation Minister K. Rammohan Naidu told the Rajya Sabha that the investigation into the fatal Air India AI171 crash in Ahmedabad is progressing at a “very good pace” and the report will be released very soon. The probe is being conducted by the Aircraft Accident Investigation Bureau with full government support.
