The Xiaomi Band 7 has been spotted on the website of Singapore’s Infocomm Media Development Authority, IMDA.
Xiaomi Band 7 aka Mi Band 7 was launched in China recently and since then the speculation is that the global debut of the company’s brand new fitness band will take place soon. A new piece of evidence hints that the launch may indeed be imminent. The Xiaomi Band 7 has been spotted on the website of Singapore’s Infocomm Media Development Authority, IMDA. That indicates that the fitness band will soon hit the markets in Singapore, if not elsewhere.
Tipster Mukul Sharma has shared what looks like the listing of the Xiaomi Band 7 on the website of the IMDA certification website. The name is not explicitly mentioned in the listing but a few references lead us to believe that this is Xiaomi’s latest fitness band. For instance, it has a model number M2130B1 and the listing says that the said product is a Smart Band. The specifications or features of the Xiaomi Band 7 are not mentioned, but those are hardly available on certification website listings.
While the Xiaomi Band 7 has not reached anywhere else, for example, the website of the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) - which would indicate the India launch is not too far away, the Singapore listing is a clear indication that the Xiaomi Band 7 is ready for launch outside of China.
The Xiaomi Band 7, also known as Mi Smart Band 7, is the successor to the Mi Smart Band 6. It comes in two variants- the Band 7 and the Band 7 NFC. The fitness band features a 1.62-inch full-screen AMOLED touchscreen Always-On display with 192×490 pixel resolution, 500 nits of peak brightness, and 326ppi of pixel density. The company claims that the display has 25 per cent more viewable area than its predecessor's screen. The smart wearable has over 100 customisable band faces.
The health-related features of the Xiaomi Band 7 include heart rate monitoring, SpO2 monitoring, and cycle tracking. The data from the fitness band gets logged into the Mi Fit app. The Chinese version of the Xiaomi Band 7 comes with a Xiao AI assistant. The fitness band comes with 120 sports modes, which include four professional sports modes with activity tracking, data analysis, and more for all-around guidance.
