International Women’s Day on March 8 saw several stars across India celebrate the women who inspire them. From heartfelt notes to nostalgic film references, actors shared messages highlighting strength, resilience and self-love.
Chiranjeevi, Ajay Devgn, Kangana Ranaut, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Hema Malini and Anupam Kher were among celebrities who posted tributes honouring women in their lives and across the world. The messages ranged from reminders of self-confidence to reflections on the courage and achievements of women everywhere.
Kangana Ranaut posted on X, urging women to recognise their abilities and reminded them not to misuse them.
“Every day is your day. Being a woman is a superpower. Know your powers and understand how to use them to your advantage and never against yourself. Never regret being generous, what you give is what you get, but it might not come from where you expect, so keep going, never mind being a fool, always hope that you never fool anyone or take advantage of people or situations (sic),” Kangana wrote.
The actor shared a picture with the women in his life. He called them his ‘Shernis’ and extended heartfelt Women's Day wishes.
Kareena posted solo photographs on Instagram, writing, “To all the women out there, don't ever forget to say every single day of your life main apni favourite hu. Happy women’s day ladies (sic)”.
