The woman who had accused Rohit Joshi, the son of a Rajasthan minister, of rape has filed a petition in the Delhi HC seeking cancellation of anticipatory bail granted to him.

The woman who had accused Rohit Joshi, the son of Rajasthan Public Health Engineering Department (PHED) Minister Mahesh Joshi, of rape has filed a petition in the Delhi High Court seeking cancellation of anticipatory bail granted to him.

The Delhi High Court has issued a notice to the state government and accused Rohit Joshi in this case and sought a response from them.

The next date of hearing in the matter is August 23, 2022.

The woman has said in her petition that while granting anticipatory bail, the Tis Hazari Court did not properly consider the serious allegations against him and did not take care of the law.

She said that while granting bail, the court did not take into account his character, behavior, and him repeatedly committing the same offence, his accessibility etc. While there is a strong possibility of him being a fugitive.

The woman from Jaipur had alleged that Rohit Joshi raped her on multiple occasions over a year. In her complaint, the woman said she was raped several times between January 8, 2021, and April 17, 2022.

The woman claimed she came into contact with Rohit Joshi on Facebook in 2021. She met the Rajasthan minister's son in Jaipur first, and he allegedly asked her to meet him in Sawai Madhopur on January 8, 2021. In her complaint, the 23-year-old woman alleged that Rohit spiked her drink during their first meeting and took advantage of it. According to the FIR, she accused him of taking her naked photographs and videos.
