A 20-year-old woman was allegedly beaten up and molested inside a moving car by her friend before being dumped on a road in Kolkata. The police arrested the accused, who has been identified as 18-year-old Arnab Shaw.
The teenager was later granted conditional bail by a local court. The car involved in the purported incident has also been seized.
According to the woman's statement, an argument broke out between her and Shaw while they were travelling along the Diamond Harbour Road.

She was purportedly pushed out of the car at an intersection in the Behala area of Kolkata. Upon receiving information about the incident, the traffic police intercepted the four-wheeler from a crossing along the Diamond Harbour Road.
A case was subsequently registered on the basis of a complaint lodged by the woman's father. The incident took place on Saturday evening, per the FIR.
