A 50-year-old woman was seriously injured after she fell into the elevator pit of a private hospital in Khammam city of Telangana on Tuesday. The entire incident was caught on CCTV camera of the hospital.

Vempati Pramila (50) of Gollinapadu, Vaira Mandal, had reached the hospital to see her brother who was undergoing treatment at the hospital.
The incident happened when she pressed the button of the elevator to go to the upper floor. She was talking on her mobile phone as the lift door opened. Unknowingly, she stepped forward and fell into the elevator shaft.
Other women present at the spot noticed her, and alerted the hospital staff. Meanwhile, Pramila, who went unconscious due to severe injuries, is currently being treated in the ICU.
