Without EC's help, BJP would not have crossed 30 seats in Bengal: Mamata Banerjee

Mamata Banerjee hit out at the EC and said without its help, the BJP would not have won even 30 seats in the West Bengal Assembly election.

Had the Election Commission (EC) not helped the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) during the state assembly election earlier this year, the saffron party would not have won even 30 seats, West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee claimed on Tuesday. Speaking on the fifth day of the ongoing West Bengal Assembly session, Mamata Banerjee continued her accusations against the poll body of supporting the BJP during the state election. "I have seen in the place where I contested, people were threatened and asked not to vote," she said.
