After months of speculation, fan castings and reports that the "Agatha All Along" actress would soon get to play another "gnarly witch," Kathryn Hahn has announced the news everyone has been waiting for.
"Hey, OOTD, I just found out what that stands for. So here's my outfit of the day," Hahn said in a video posted Tuesday, March 10, on Instagram. She then stepped back to reveal a vintage rap graphic T-shirt featuring the "Tangled" villain. "Simple jeans, glasses, T-shirt. This is easy. You know, just another day."
In further confirmation, Walt Disney Studios reshared the video, with the caption, "You want her to be the bad guy? FINE. Kathryn Hahn is Mother Gothel in Disney's live-action Tangled."
The live-action "Tangled" will follow Disney's hit 2010 animated film loosely based on the German fairy tale "Rapunzel." The film starred Mandy Moore as the voice of Rapunzel, Zachary Levi as rogue hero Eugene "Flynn Rider" Fitzherbert and musical theater star Donna Murphy as the voice of the youth-stealing witch and kidnapper Mother Gothel.
