'Will return your car tomorrow': Thief runs away with car in Jalandhar, finds old woman sitting inside

After going a distance, the thief dropped the old lady near a stream and ran away. Before that, he asked the woman her house address and contact number

On Monday afternoon, 77-year-old Balveer Kaur went out of her house in Jalandhar's Model Town area with a driver to a nearby market. Her driver went to a shop while leaving the car engine started in order to keep the air conditioning system working. However, on his return, the driver found that the car, along with Kaur, were missing. In the police complaint, Kaur said she lives with her family in the US. She went out of her house in Model Town to visit the nearby Income Tax Colony market to sell her phone. According to the police, when the driver was at the shop, a 25-year-old man came and ran away with the car which was already started. Kaur screamed for help but nobody came for her help.
