Former Australian cricketer Andrew Symonds died in a car crash at the age of 46 on May 15. Did you know he once appeared on Bigg Boss 5 where he imitated Sanjay Dutt's Munnabhai and Amjad Khan's Gabbar Singh?

Cricket legend Andrew Symonds died in a car accident in Queensland, Australia, on May 15. He was reportedly involved in a single vehicle accident in Hervey Range, 50 km from Townsville. Did you know that Symonds was once a part of the TV reality show Bigg Boss 5 in 2011? We dug out an old video of the cricketer where he is seen imitating Sanjay Dutt's character, Munnabhai from Munna Bhai MBBS and Amjad Khan's character, Gabbar Singh, from Sholay.

Andrew Symonds was a part of the fifth season of Bigg Boss in 2011. The Australian cricketer entered the house for two weeks as a special guest. In one of the episodes, he had imitated Sanjay Dutt's character Munnabhai from Munna Bhai MBBS. While he played Sanjay's character, Akashdeep Saigal played Arshad Warsi's character Circuit. BB 5 winner Juhi Parmar was also a part of their act. Akashdeep was seen teaching Andrew several lines. He was also seen learning dance steps from Shonali Nagrani and Sunny Leone. The cricketer danced to Dekh Le from Munna Bhai MBBS.

In another episode, Andrew Symonds turned Gabbar Singh of Bigg Boss 5! He imitated Amjad Khan's character from the 1975 film Sholay. Juhi played the role of Kalia in the act. The cricketer nailed his dialogues perfectly.

During his stay, Andrew Symonds learnt how to make roti and Indian curries. He also became friends with contestant Sunny Leone. Speaking to agencies, Andrew had then said, “I have no hang-ups being on camera for long hours since I have been exposed to it in the sports field. But not being able to walk out of the house with a big wall separating you from the world is very frustrating.”

Bigg Boss 5 aired on Colors between October 2011-January 2012. Both Sanjay Dutt and Salman Khan were seen as the hosts of the show. Juhi Parmar was the winner of the season, which had contestants like Shakti Kapoor, Pooja Bedi, Mahek Chahal, Pooja Mishra and Siddharth Bhardwaj.
