WhatsApp is testing a feature to let users hide their contact info such as profile picture, last seen, status updates and more from selected contacts on WhatsApp web.
WhatsApp was spotted testing a feature to let users hide their contact details, including profile picture, last seen and status updates from selected contacts. The messaging app was recently spotted testing the same feature for the web version of the app. This means that users will be able to hide their profile picture and be last seen using WhatsApp web. The reports revealed that WhatsApp will first roll out the feature to Android and iOS app.
As per Wabetainfo, WhatsApp is testing a feature to let users hide their contact info such as profile picture, last seen, status updates and more from selected contacts on WhatsApp web. The feature was previously being tested for the Android and iOS apps. Currently, users have the option of displaying the last seen, profile picture, status info to “everybody”, “nobody” and “my contacts only”. If Whatsapp releases the new feature, users will get the “My contacts except” option. If you tick on this, you will be able to hide your contact info from the people who don’t like it.
