Audi has launched the Audi SQ8 in India at Rs 1.77 crore, slotting between the Audi Q8 and Audi RS Q8 Performance.
Audi has strengthened its performance SUV portfolio in India with the launch of the Audi SQ8, priced at Rs 1,77,72,000 (ex-showroom). Positioned between the Audi Q8 and the Audi RS Q8 Performance, the SQ8 aims to strike a balance between everyday usability and high-performance driving.
On the outside, the SUV gets HD Matrix LED headlights with Audi Laser Light, offering enhanced illumination and four distinct light signatures. The sporty stance is accentuated by S-specific bumpers, illuminated door sill trims, and a bold Singleframe grille finished in aluminium look with a 2D Audi logo.
Other highlights include frameless doors, a panoramic sunroof, and optional 22-inch alloy wheels in multiple designs. Audi also offers customisation through optional Carbon Style and Black Styling packages, along with ceramic brakes.
Inside, the SQ8 comes equipped with sport seats featuring S embossing and a Dinamica microfiber/leather combination upholstery. Customers can upgrade to sport seats plus in Valcona leather with ventilation, heating, and massage functions.
The cabin is tech-forward, featuring Audi Virtual Cockpit Plus, MMI Navigation Plus with touch response, and a Bang & Olufsen 3D premium sound system with 17 speakers and 730W output. Additional highlights include a flat-bottom steering wheel, ambient lighting with 30 colour options, and premium inlays.
The SUV offers a 4-zone climate control system, soft-close doors, wireless charging, and a powered tailgate. Driver assistance features include park assist with a 360-degree camera and optional adaptive wipers.

OpenAI's head of ChatGPT, Nick Turley, has claimed that the AI startup may rethink its unlimited subscription plan. Turley believes that having an unlimited AI plan would be similar to having unlimited electricity, something that may not make sense. His comments come after OpenAI CEO Sam Altman hinted at selling intelligence as a utility in the future.
