Rainfall warnings are in place across southwestern Ontario for Wednesday. As much as 40 millimetres could fall in some spots — with even higher amounts possible in areas that receive thunderstorms. 

The daytime high in Windsor-Essex is expected to reach 17 C. For Chatham-Kent, it’s forecasted to hit 15 C — and 13 C in Sarnia-Lambton, according to Environment Canada.

The weather agency says the temperature will then plummet overnight across the region to around -4 C.
