CBC
The hamlet of Aklavik says its water issues are resolved, and the community's school and offices could reopen by Thursday.
The community's water plant broke down on Monday. Workers travelled from Inuvik to assist with the repairs.
As of Tuesday at 8:30 p.m., the hamlet said its plant was up and running. Aklavik's mayor and council posted a notice to social media.
The hamlet is asking residents to conserve water and keep offices closed until the plant is replenished.
The hamlet said its water truck is making deliveries to residential units today on its regular schedule.
The breakdown forced the hamlet to close buildings around the community, including the Moose Kerr School, the Aklavik Housing Association, the recreation centre, the youth centre and Ehdiitat Gwich'in Council's Chief Andrew Stewart Building.
