What is Yuva.ai? Inside the government's new AI learning app
India Today
The Government of India today announced the launch of Yuva.ai, a mobile-first AI literacy and skills learning platform introduced under the Kaushal Rath initiative, aimed at enabling millions of young Indians to become AI-aware, future-ready, and digitally empowered.
The Government of India on Wednesday launched Yuva.ai, a mobile-first platform aimed at building artificial intelligence (AI) literacy among young Indians. Introduced under the Kaushal Rath initiative, the programme seeks to prepare millions of learners for a technology-driven economy by making AI concepts accessible beyond technical circles.
Officials said the platform is designed to help users understand how AI works, where it is applied and how it can be used responsibly. The focus is on awareness and practical understanding rather than advanced coding. The initiative comes at a time when AI tools are rapidly entering workplaces, classrooms and public services.
The platform has been developed in collaboration with the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY). The learning framework and content architecture were supported by AI education firm AI&Beyond. The company worked on structuring the curriculum and translating technical ideas into formats suitable for large-scale learning.
Founders of AI & Beyond, Jaspreet Bindra and Anuj Magazine, recorded educational video modules for the platform. According to officials involved in the project, the aim was to simplify AI without losing accuracy, and to design lessons that are practical and easy to follow.
Yuva.ai offers structured learning pathways built around short modules.
The lessons introduce basic AI concepts, explain real-world use cases and provide foundational knowledge that can help learners build confidence in using digital tools.
