The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has issued a warning to teachers involved in evaluating Class 10 and Class 12 board exam answer sheets after noticing posts related to the process appearing on social media.
The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) on Monday warned teachers involved in the evaluation of Class 10 and Class 12 board examinations not to share information related to the process on social media.
Officials said the board has noticed that some evaluators are posting comments and personal experiences about the marking process online. According to the board, such posts may create confusion among students and parents.
CBSE Examination Controller Sanyam Bhardwaj said the evaluation process is confidential and teachers are expected to follow strict guidelines while performing their duties.
"It has come to the notice of the board that certain individuals engaged in the evaluation process of Class 10 and Class 12 examinations are posting comments, opinions and experiences on social media platforms. Many of these posts are misleading, factually incorrect and have the potential to create confusion and spread rumours among stakeholders," he said.
The board stated that any information related to answer sheet evaluation, marking practices or internal discussions must not be shared on public platforms.
CBSE officials said the evaluation of board examinations follows a structured system with clear protocols. Teachers appointed as evaluators are expected to maintain confidentiality and follow professional conduct during the process.
