Amid rising geopolitical tensions and security concerns in the Middle East linked to the ongoing US-Israel-Iran conflict, the Central Board of Secondary Education, CBSE, has cancelled the Class 12 board examinations scheduled in several countries across the region.
The decision comes as a precautionary measure to ensure the safety and well-being of students, teachers, and examination staff during a period of significant regional instability.

The cancellation applies to CBSE-affiliated schools located across several Middle Eastern countries, including Bahrain, Iran, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, and the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
Students studying in CBSE-affiliated schools in these countries were originally scheduled to appear for their Class 12 board examinations during the March–April 2026 examination cycle, but the exams have now been cancelled for all centres in these regions.
Students studying in these countries were originally scheduled to appear for their Class 12 board examinations between March 16 and April 10, 2026. However, due to the evolving security situation in the region, the board has decided to cancel the entire examination schedule.
