The West Bengal government has decided not to release its Chief Secretary Alapan Bandyophyayon Monday. West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee wrote to Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday informing about the decision and urged him to rescind the order. Last week the Union government issued an order asking the Chief Secretary to report to the Central government at 10 a.m. on Monday.More Related News

After more-than-two-year wait, the flyover at Goripalayam junction will be commissioned on Saturday. As of now, the main arm of the new flyover, named after freedom fighter Netaji Subash Chandra Bose, will help to decongest vehicular movement from Tamukkam junction till Nelpettai junction on East Veli Street.
