
West Bengal govt challenges HC order on filing all cases of post-poll violence victims

The Calcutta High Court had last week asked the West Bengal police to register cases of all victims of post-poll violence. The Court had also asked the state government to ensure medical treatment and provide ration to all the victims.
The West Bengal government has challenged the Calcutta High Court order wherein it had asked the state police to register cases of all victims of post-poll violence. Last week, a larger five judge bench headed by acting Chief Justice Rajesh Bindal asked the Trinamool Congress government in the state to ensure medical treatment and provide rations to all the victims, even if they do not possess ration cards.More Related News
