Weather Forecast LIVE: IMD issues orange alert for Kerala; rainfall intensity to increase in West Bengal

According to IMD, very heavy rainfall is likely to occur in four districts of Kerala today and they have been put on orange alert. The northeastern states, sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim are also expected to receive fairly widespread rainfall on Wednesday.

The monsoon has thrown lives out of gear in Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh and West Bengal and has added to the woes of the residents, claiming scores of lives and leaving behind a huge trail of destruction. According to the weatherman, these districts are likely to receive very heavy rainfall (11-20 cm in 24 hours) from today.
