Water level in Mullaperiyar dam stood at 136.20 feet (the maximum permissible level is 142 ft.) with an inflow of 1,846 cusecs and a discharge of 511 cusecs. In Vaigai dam, the level was 65.16 ft. (71 ft.) with an inflow of 1,796 cusecs and a discharge of 669 cusecs. Combined storage in Periyar credit was 8,550 mcft. Rainfall recorded during the 24 hours ending at 6 a.m. on Monday was (in mm): Periyapatti 5.4, Sathiyar dam 5, Madurai 1.6, Elumalai 1.4 and Thekkadi 1.
