Mullaperiyar dam's water level is at 118 feet, with significant inflow and discharge rates reported.

Water level in Mullaperiyar dam stood at 118 feet (the maximum permissible level is 142 ft.) with an inflow of 55 cusecs and a discharge of 556 cusecs. The level in Vaigai dam was at 43.77 ft. (the maximum level is 71 ft.) with an inflow of 274 cusecs and discharge of 969 cusecs. Combined storage in Periyar credit was 3,231.43 mcft. Madurai recorded a rainfall of 1.8 mm in the 24 hours ending at 6 a.m. on Saturday.
