VIT Vellore organises blood donation camp

VIT students donate 350 units of blood at campus camp with medical teams from various hospitals present.

About 350 units of blood was donated by the students of Vellore Institute of Technology (VIT), at the blood donation camp held on its campus here on Friday.
VIT founder and chancellor G. Viswanathan inaugurated the camp, organised by the National Service Scheme (NSS) unit of VIT and Red Ribbon Club in memory of his wife Rajeswari Viswanathan, in the presence of vice presidents Sankar Viswanathan and Sekar Viswanathan, the release said.
Medical teams from Christian Medical College (CMC), Government Medical College Hospital in Vellore, Government Taluk Hospital in Gudiyatham, Sri Narayani Hospital & Research Centre (Vellore) were present, the release added.
