Movie buffs across the country are facing a hard time deciding which film to watch as recently we saw the release of four big banner films - Kamal Haasan’s Vikram, Kartik Aaryan’s Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2, Akshay Kumar’s Samrat Prithviraj and Adivi Sesh’s Major. While Vikram and Major are South films, Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 and Samrat Prithviraj are big Bollywood projects. When it comes to their performances, Vikram and Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 are breaking records. But, Samrat Prithviraj and Major are lagging behind.

Kamal Haasan has once again managed to impress his fans with his latest outing, Vikram. The film opened with good numbers in the theatres on June 3. Not just within the country, but the film continued to score big on the international borders as well. On Day 4, the film earned a total of Rs 175 crore. Its single-day collection was Rs 40.82 crore. Trade analyst Manobala Vijayabalan tweeted, "#Vikram has grossed 175 Crs at the WW Box office for the opening weekend.. Truly Sensational (sic)."

Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 also opened to good numbers at the box office. The film received good reviews and it is attracting crowds to cinemas even after 18 days of its release. According to trade analyst Taran Adarsh, the Kartik Aaryan-starrer minted Rs 157 crore on June 6. "#BhoolBhulaiyaa2 is in no mood to slow down... Mass circuits are driving its biz... Absence of major films [till 24 June] should help it reach 175 cr mark... [Week 3] Fri 2.81 cr, Sat 4.55 cr, Sun 5.71 cr, Mon 2.25 cr. Total: 157.07 cr. #India biz (sic)," he wrote.
