Vidya Balan begins shooting for Anu Menon's Neeyat in UK

Vidya Balan has started filming her next, Neeyat, in London. The film is being directed by Anu Menon, who had earlier worked with the Sherni star in Shakuntala Devi.

Vidya Balan, who was recently seen in Amazon Prime Video's Jalsa, has begun shooting for her next film. Titled Neeyat, the murder mystery will be directed by Anu Menon. Today, May 10, Vidya shared a picture from the sets of Neeyat with Anu and Vikram Malhotra.

Vidya Balan, who has earlier worked with Anu Menon in Shakuntala Devi, will be seen in her next film, Neeyat. Sharing a picture with Anu and Vikra Malhotra on Instagram, Vidya wrote, "Excited to begin shooting one of the most engaging scripts I have read in the recent times, with some of my favourite people - @directormenon & @ivikramix All I can say is expect the unexpected #Neeyat, Filming Begins (sic)."

Anu Menon announced Neeyat on April 29 and also revealed the names of the cast members. She wrote, "Neeyat. A little taste of the film I’m going on floors with - a really fun whodunnit that I hope you’ll all enjoy! So thrilled to reunite with my fabulous collaborators @balanvidya and @ivikramix - and an ensemble cast I could only dream of (sic)."

Vidya Balan will be seen playing the role of detective Mira Rao in this murder mystery. Neeyat boasts an amazing ensemble, which includes Ram Kapoor, Rahul Bose, Mita Vasisht, Neeraj Kabi, Shahana Goswami, Dipannita Sharma, Amrita Puri, Shashank Arora, Prajakta Koli and Danish Razvi, among others.

Vidya Balan is currently in the UK shooting for Neeyat. This would be Anu and Vidya’s second time shooting in the UK after Shakuntala Devi. Vidya will be shooting for the thriller over a two-month schedule. It would be interesting to see Vidya in Neeyat, which is touted to be a spine-chilling murder mystery.
