An Air Force soldier and his father were assaulted by a mob in Uttar Pradesh’s Bulandshahr after a dispute allegedly triggered by honking during a horse ride escalated into a violent street brawl, police said.
The February 19 attack, captured on video that has since gone viral, shows the uniformed serviceman being kicked and punched while his father is also beaten by the mob.
Both suffered injuries in the incident in Amargarh village under Jahangirabad police station limits.
According to the FIR lodged in a complaint by the soldier’s father, Pratham Singh, the confrontation began when the accused objected to the horn being sounded near a horse procession.
The complaint alleges the assailants were intoxicated and launched a coordinated assault.
Police have registered a case and launched a search for the accused, while officials said further action would follow based on video evidence and witness statements.

As per the Bill, those involved in unlawful conversions on the pretext of marriage will be punished with imprisonment of seven years and shall also be liable for a fine of Rs 1 lakh. Violations in respect of a minor, a person of unsound mind, a woman or a person belonging to the Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe will be punished with imprisonment of seven years and a fine of Rs 5 lakh.
