The government has appointed Vice Admiral R Hari Kumar as the next Chief of the Naval Staff. He will take over on the afternoon of November 30.

The government has appointed Vice Admiral R Hari Kumar as the next Chief of the Naval Staff. He will take over on the afternoon of November 30. He is currently serving as Flag Officer Commanding-in-Chief, Western Naval Command.

The present Chief of the Naval Staff, Admiral Karambir Singh, will retire from service on November 30.
